Amsterdam Jewel Cruises is a small, independent family business. No corporate fleet, no mass tourism — just one beautifully restored antique boat and a team that genuinely cares about every guest on board.
We started in 2009 with a simple idea: combine a quality dinner with the beauty of Amsterdam's canals, on a boat with real character. Back then, nothing like it existed. We became Amsterdam's first sailing restaurant — and while others have since followed, the original is still hard to beat.
Being small is a conscious choice. With only one boat and a maximum of eight tables per evening, we can give every guest the personal attention that larger companies simply cannot offer. We know your name, we remember your preferences, and we care whether you had a good time. It's not a slogan — it's just how we work.
The big canal cruise companies in Amsterdam operate dozens of large boats carrying hundreds of passengers at a time. We do the opposite. Our antique riverboat seats a handful of guests in an intimate setting, with a proper kitchen, a full bar, and a crew that is there for you — not for the masses.
There is no microphone, no guided commentary, no rush. Just a beautiful boat, good food and drinks, background music, and the canals of Amsterdam slowly passing by. We believe that is all you need for a memorable evening.
Our sailing restaurant is open to everyone — no need to hire the whole boat. Simply reserve a private table for you and your company and enjoy an evening of dining on the canals. Perfect for date nights, anniversaries, birthdays, or just a special evening out.
Please note that the dinner cruises are for guests aged 16 and over.
Dinner cruisesWant the boat all to yourself? For corporate events, celebrations, or any private occasion, you can hire the entire boat. We take care of everything — food, drinks, route, music — so you can focus on your guests.
On private cruises there are no age restrictions, so children are very welcome.
